Bailey

Bailey is a town located 45 minutes southwest of Denver on US Hwy 285. The town is small however, the population of approximately 10,000 people is spread out in the surrounding area. Starting at the Jefferson County line, to the top of Kenosha pass, people who live in the Bailey area enjoy a multitude of outdoor activities, including hiking, fishing and camping. Families can come together to celebrate Bailey Days in June and Cowboy Christmas in December.

Platte Canyon School District RE 1 serves the families of the Bailey area with Preschool up to High School. Deer Creek Preschool offers a play-based learning opportunity for children, 3 to 5 years of age.

A group designed to nurture mothers with newborns through kindergarten as well as pregnant moms. The women are of many ages and backgrounds, but share the same desire- to be the best mothers they can be.

A mountain playgroup for parents, caregivers, and their children ages 0-5. The playgroup classroom is in the TRE Bailey Office, 460 CR 43, Suite 6 Bailey, CO 80421. Playgroups will be hosted on Fridays typically sessions will be 9:00AM-10:30AM and 10:45AM-12:15PM. Playgroup will incorporate themes, songs, literacy, snacks, crafts, Sensory activities, and SO MUCH FUN.

Child Find Platte Canyon 1

For Children Ages 3 through 5 Years Old Mount Evans BOCES, identifies children suspected of having a delay in development as early as possible. If a young child is not meeting typical developmental milestones, or someone is concerned about the child’s growth or learning, a referral can be made to Child Find.  

The video series describes the path of children’s learning and development from birth to eight years old. They’re designed so that everyone who cares for young children can play an important part in giving Colorado’s kids a healthy start.

Deer Creek Preschool staff will encourage each child’s growth in all areas of development including self-esteem, language and literacy, social and emotional development, science and math, the arts, cognitive, and physical growth.

Conifer Play Therapy: Supports children’s mental health through language and play. Therapy services are compassionate, confidential and child-centered. Children’s counseling, family therapy and parent coaching are offered by a licensed Marriage & Family Therapist.

The Colorado Low-income Energy Assistance Program (LEAP) is a federally funded program that helps eligible hard-working Colorado families, seniors and individuals pay a portion of their winter home heating costs. Our goal is to help bring warmth, comfort and safety to your home and family by assisting with heating costs.

Family Education programs provide early childhood and parenting support for families using a multi-generational approach. Classes, groups, and events are designed to meet the needs of the whole family by offering parent and caregiver education and early learning experiences that foster relationships with other families as well as connections with community services.

School-Based Health Centers (SBHC) remove the barriers of time and travel to receive healthcare for both students and parents, increasing student seat time and supporting academic performance.

SBHC Services are available for all Park RE-2 School District Students, Staff, and Families. We accept private insurance, Medicaid and CHP+, and Summit Community Care Cards – and can help make financial arrangements as needed. Uninsured students have access to a sliding fee scale.

 TEMPORARY EMERGENCY FOOD ASSISTANCE PROGRAM: Federal program that helps supplement the diets of low-income needy persons, including elderly people, by providing them with emergency food and nutrition assistance. Call: 303-866-2652 or 888-467-0418

Connects people with assistance, resources and support for living independently in our state. Colorado has a state-supervised and county-administered human services system. A family child care with a maximum capacity of 9 children. The home-based provider serves children in the age range of 6 wks.- 13 yr.

Special Supplemental Nutrition Program for Women, Infants, and Children provides healthy food, nutrition education, breastfeeding guidance, and community support for women who are pregnant or postpartum, infants, and children under five years old.
